Video Art Wall produced to add street side beauty to a building not accessible to the general public. Gorgeous 8K underwater video from along the California coast is spread across 7 video pillars.

The Wave Wall greets all visitors to the Monterey Bay Aquarium as they purchase tickets and pass through to the “Main Street” atrium. We had a custom rig built to mount 3 - 6K Red Dragons on one tripod to capture the perfect set of slow motion waves to spread across 12 monitors. It took about 3 weeks and about a dozen locations to finally nail down the above waves.

I had the unique opportunity to create this 3 minute long immersive experience featuring the bioluminescence of deep sea creatures with a custom soundscape scored by Doug Morton. This “pocket theater” features 18 OLED monitors (we needed the deep blacks so projection was out) and 5.1 surround audio. This was truly an artistic creation meant to instill awe at the extraordinary beauty of these unique creatures.

We wanted to highlight the extraordinary deep sea footage captured by MBARI, our research partner institution. There are 3 x 4K projections 11’ wide all synced for an immersive introduction to The Deep. Similar creatures and color palettes work together with a watery, etherially animated deep sea poem.

Beautiful and bizarre deep sea creatures float and propel through the title of the much celebrated deep sea exhibition at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The animals are composited to move across 4 OLED monitors (15,360 pixels wide) beneath raised acrylic letters to give visitors a taste of the strange world they are about to experience.

Conservation messages were attached to video pillars as visitors exited the Viva Baja exhibition at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. 6k-4k video was stretched across 2 vertical HD monitors mounted at an angle for a dynamic effect.

My introduction to multi-screen displays at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I handled the 9 screens of video and text which were mixed in with videos of guests showing off their cephalopod pattern personality.
